The Isleworth Congregational Church is a modest building from the
outside. Stepping into it one gets the impression of it being steeped in
history. Rustic pews sit in an intimate and warm setting. A wonderful
pipe organ plays from a corner to the left of the altar. The congregation
are welcoming and interested and the Pastor one of the most amiable
people you are likely to meet.
St Bridget’s was well represented and the service was very different from
our own. There were plenty of hymns, traditional and lively, interspersed
with numerous readings by the Pastor. His sermon was eloquent and
compelling. The tea served afterwards was delicious and the huge
chunk of shortbread just what was needed after walking from Hounslow.
I will definitely return.
Thanks and best wishes to all.
